Problem:
When attempting to authenticate (or log on) using a Active Directory domain account the authentication fails – the log on prompt shakes.
When attempting to bind (add) a MAC OS system to an Active Directory domain the bind fails and you get the following error message:
Unable to add the domain.
An unexpected error of type - 14910 (eServerError) occurred.
Solution:
This issue is usually caused by discrepancies between the time on the Active Directory Domain Controller servers and the MAC OS systems.
To resolve:
- Check the time is correct on all Domain Controllers
- Check the time is correct on the MAC OS system
- Attempt to rebind the MAC OS system to the Active Directory domain.
