WordPress 5.0.3 was released today.
5.0.3. is a maintenance release that includes 37 bug fixes and 7 performance improvements for the Gutenberg editor.
While continued improvement to the new Gutenberg editor are welcomed – it also feeds the sentiment that it was released too soon.
There were also updates to the bundled themes for improved Gutenberg compatibility.
What does it fix?
Issues fixed in the WordPress 5.0.3 Maintenance Release:
- 15 block editor related bug fixes and improvements have been added to bundled themes.
- 2 block editor related internationalization (I18N) bugs have been fixed.
- Users with JavaScript disabled now see a notice when attempting to use the block editor.
- A few PHP errors in the Customizer have been fixed.
- Some issues uploading common file types, like CSVs, have been fixed.
How to install update?
As a minor release by default it will install automatically.
If this has been disabled you will need to install by logging into your WordPress administration console and go to the Dashboard -> Updates page.
