Connect iPhone to Exchange Mailbox

This process details how to connect an iPhone 3GS to an Exchange Mailbox.

  1. From the main menu, select ‘Settings’
  2. Then select ‘Mail, Contacts, Calendars’
  3. Then ‘Add Account…’
  4. Select ‘Microsoft Exchange’
  5. Enter in the required information, for example:
    • Email: [email protected]
    • Domain: domain
    • User name: user.name
    • Password: Network Password
    • Description: Not required – leave blank.
  6. Click ‘Next’. The status at the top of the screen will say ‘Verifying Exchange account information’ and will eventually fail. After this you will see an additional option called ‘Server’.
  7. Enter in the mobile address for the exchange server as configured from your Exchange server (e.g. mobile.domain.com) and click ‘Next’
  8. Once successfully connected you will be prompted to choose what will be syncronised. Configure or leave as defaults and select ‘Done’ to save the changes.
