Restore iPhone to factory default

This process details how to restore an iPhone 3GS to its factory defaults

  1. From the main menu, select ‘Settings’
  2. Select ‘General’
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the menu and select ‘Reset’
  4. Select ‘Reset All Settings’
  5. If prompted, enter in the PIN number for the phone
  6. Select ‘Reset all settings’
  7. Select ‘Reset all settings’ again
  8. The phone will turn off, press the Power button at the top right of the phone to turn it back on.
