The following steps show how to disable the password, removing the prompt.

  1. With Firefox open, click on the menu button at the top left of the window (three horizontal lines)
  2. Click on ‘Options’
  3. Firefox-DisablePasswordManager2
  4. In the left hand menu click on ‘Security’
  5. Un-tick ‘Remember logins for sites’
  6. Firefox-DisablePasswordManager3
  7. Firefox will no longer prompt to save passwords – you can now close the options tab.
